All our instructors are distinguished graduates of the St. Didymus Institute for Cantors, Cairo, Egypt. They are passionate educators, dedicated to teaching the next generation and preserving the rich hymnological heritage and traditions of the Coptic Orthodox Church. Programs We Offer

We are proud to offer six distinct tracks geared towards all levels of interest.

Moalem Program

The Moalem Program is a comprehensive four-year program for men, designed to encompass all the rites and hymns of the Coptic Orthodox Church. This program covers all of the hymns pertaining to the congregation, the deacon in the sanctuary, and the priest.

Hymns Teacher Certificates

The Hymns Teacher Certificates are specialized courses designed for those aspiring to teach hymns within the Coptic Orthodox tradition. Completing these courses qualifies individuals to instruct others in the hymns covered by the respective certificate.

EXPRESS INTEREST>>

Choristress Program

The Choristress program is a three-and-a-half-year program for women. This program encompasses all the rites and hymns of the Coptic Orthodox Church which are taught in the Moalem Program, except for the deacon responses and priest parts.

Priest Hymns Certificates

The Priest Hymns Certificates are specialized courses designed for priests to learn their parts specific to the Raising of Incense service, the Liturgy of St. Basil, the Liturgy of St. Gregory, and other occasions.

Church Leader Program

The Church Leader Program is a two-year program designed to teach the essential material for accurately directing services throughout the liturgical year. This program covers essential rites and hymns of the Coptic Orthodox Church so that participants will gain the skills and knowledge needed to properly conduct services if assigned by the priest to lead.

Deacon Responses Certificates

The Deacon Responses Certificates are specialized courses designed for Subdeacons, Deacons and Archdeacons to learn the responses pertaining to their role inside the Sanctuary and for other occasions.
